What Surgeons Are Missing About the Disabled Throwing Shoulder
I'm having this done in two days
Good job to doctors but why did I click this 😭
Huhu this happened to me 3 months ago
What creeps me out the most is the drill and plate with screws. Almost like a door deadbolt lock 😆
Wow so cool
wtf is that dead arm???
Nice work But …. Not nice Working 😜he don’t put some Radio on almost he don’t Say a Word even for the Day Wether 😂Not nice to work with him Bravo to his assistant 😝😵💫
That is a dead arm
Ummm I'm just gonna leave my wrist as is not gonna get this done
I had this done to me a couple years ago but my wrist bone shifted and healed incorrectly so they had to re break it while I was under. I was given no pain meds after it was terrible experience
Did you ask for pain meds?
@@precisionbrown6829 crazy right
Yo I had the same thing happen but my bones were so weak they didn’t have to re break it they just bent it back into place while I was under
😭😭😭😭 I had the surgery 14 days ago today stitches were supposed to be removed and after removal of the stitches doctor asked for x-ray and told after looking at the x-ray that one bone was missed accidently and it's hanging in there and need do the surgery again 😭😭😭 I'm completely fuked up don't know what to do
I was pulling honey sokoloff my house and tripped over a push lawn mower
Wow!!👀 So that's what was done on my wrist also? Had surgery Jan 13th finger exercises 48 hours later! 2 piece cast w/ace bandage OT started one week after surgery. One set of 25 reps 3 times a day. From Doc&OT therapist. Could be just me but I think that many screw in such a small area seems a bit overkill?? But I'm not a doctor. All in all the Doc did a fine job. No stitches glued skin together??
Is this dead body?
Why is this guy wearing a watch in theatre??
which camera r u using for recording video ? i also want to record this type of operation theatre video. which camera to buy?
You a Dr means have money so don’t be cheep 😜you geht what You Pay … most go to go pro 😜
Go pro is probably the best
I just had this done going on 3 weeks ago. December 8, 2020 How do they avoid severing a nerve? My fingers move but at night it’s extremely painful
Me too. Almost 3 weeks. Yes it is painful at night and when I sleep.
@@elproscrito209 how are you? I got it done week ago at night tough to sleep.
It goes away with time. I'm 3 months in. No pain but still itches here and there and maybe some pain if I use my hand for too long or try and lift heavy.
@@murtuzamehdi3075 it took me quite a few months to really gain good control of my hand and wrist. I was afraid to even use it. You? I didn’t do therapy. I just went with it. It’ll 11 months now. It’s not perfect but it’s ok
@@precisionbrown6829 thanks for replying...yeh bruh same no therapy it has 3 months movement and grip is good but still there is some pain and swelling
I cannot believe they did this to me like-
Mine too 2 weeks ago.did they put you to sleep?
@@johnmarkmier144 yeah of course, but it took 2 and a half hours cause it was in the wrong place-
@@user-hi1oj6mw5h I was awake.but my right hand was all numb.cant feel shit.lol.hope you feel better soon.i had accident on mountain bike.what happen to you if you don't mind me asking.?😁😁😁
@@johnmarkmier144 I fell backwards at school lmao
@@johnmarkmier144 damn could you see it?I feel like I would pass out if I saw inside my arm lol
For some reason, I can't find a video that the surgery is performed on top of the wrist, I have a scar because i had a surgery for fractured wrist which was a Smith fracture
They don’t do surgery on top. It’s done underneath your wrist so if it scars badly, which is rare, then there’s not much scaring to see. Lots of nerves in both areas. That’s something they deal with. We deal with the outcome. When I got out of surgery that was awfully painful. I can take a lot of pain but that was intense. I kept asking for as much pain medication as possible! I was good until the next day. Didn’t have to take any pain meds until the following day after
Great job by doctors
Tengo una pregunta, ¿Es un brazo donado?
Gross I can't believe my eyes
Not a spec of blood ?
Cadaveric demonstration😉
I don't think it's alive.
Wait I thought you did surgery on broken ones not fractured ones
Nah bro I just had this surgery done a week ago I had a fractured scaphoid
Same here scaphoid surgery and screw inaerted. There's light at the end of tunnel though don't expect to have 100% normal. I fractured in end of Sept 2014, had the surgery in 4 weeks. Don't skip physio. Wrist strength and flexibility is paramount. 92% is where I'm at.
Fractured and broken mean the same thing!
@@jamisa3668 how is your hand now?
This looks so freaking disgusting makes me ponder about getting surgery on my left scaphoid
Get it bro don't delay. may prolong your recovery. No 100% after surgery though, a mere 90 plus percent which is good. Constant physio is a must but don't overdo it.
@@jamisa3668 i got it done like 5 years ago cause of a snowboard accident..didnt follow thru with physio and it hurts sometimes, what have u done for recovery?
@@dmullz100 Just bending the wrist and holding it there both ways with weights, and push ups. Light handstand with some help to start with.
@@jamisa3668 cool to know. How does it feel ?
@@dmullz100 Feels horrible especially if you've never seen cuts and stitches on your body. The good thing though is that there's a light at end of the tunnel.
Do your due diligence before making this choice.
really impressed with your examination
Can someone explain the difference between a "Total Shoulder Replacement" and a "Hemi-Arthroplasty". Thanks
My mother just had rotator cuff surgery and I could not find any decent instructions on how to put the shoulder sling immobilizer on. We had to adjust it and it slid down so we took it off and started over. Your instructions on how to put this immobilizer on was very helpful as well as the instructions for the exercises. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. :)
Thank you for the good explanation Dr. Douglas Wyland
mines due in 8 weeks
yes i need this
INTERESTING . THIS PROGRAM each phase of rehab is longer than what i was told.
thank you
Im due for a Knee Arthroscopy Thursday 22 of June on both my knees. Do you advise doing both knees together or not? I had no injury just very noisy and sore knees from childhood.
Great video and explanation. Using a shoulder model was crucial (for me) to understand the root cause of this shoulder syndrome. Thank you.
thank you sir.
Thanks for sharing this easy demonstration on knee radiograph.
thanks for the great info. I'm having repair on Thursday of my torn long head of biceps, supraspinatus, subscapularis and labrum. Dr. Bell said no movement for eight weeks for me.
Great video, thank you for the information!
Currently recovering from this right now I was pushed off the stage at my high school
I had this surgery last week so I am seeing this once.
My father had this done recently. This looks really intense.
How are you Dr Hawkins? Worked with you in Vail in the late 90's...
This cadaver has SL instability haha
Great expert info thank u sir
I'm guessing you re-attached the biceps tendon lower on the humeral head so less of a chance for impingement??
Thank you for taking the time to put this together. It clearly explains what I have been suffering with for 3 years now. I've been put on the waiting list for surgery today. Great explanation. It's so much easier to make sense of it at home in your own time.
If I lean back in the shower to rinse my hair, I will fall. I am very off balance to tbe left also. Surgery is my only option. (They said).
6-12 months to heal? Is that for a full thickness tear? I'm scared to see what kind of tear I have....
I have to have my shoulder replaced does it hurt?
